Change order of checkout steps in Magento 2

I need to split Magento 2 checkout into custom steps. According to the attached images the checkout info should be split into 3 screens. Clicking on Next button you get to the next screen.
This should be done by doing a custom plugin that will override the Magento 2 core - it should not be done by changing the code of Magento 2 in the vendor folder.
