Create a power BI report from a codeigniter Mysql database

Based on the requirements I would be able to create the Power BI report as you expected as I already have created several reports/dashboard with similar criteria using slicers for my client. Having 3+ years experience in creating reports in Power BI, I would be able to create a report which you can drill down to the lowest granularity and can look at the various data points. First of I need to have some sample data to work on from the above software. We need to check if Power BI has the ability to connect to the software tool directly. We should create a power BI report with a table which will have Client, Date, Staff Members, Project, hours and then have 4 slicers on Date, client staff members and project on the side of the table. The data should be modeled in Power BI designer to make sure we are getting the correct data to visualize.

Here in power bi, we can create Line Chart for showing (How many Hours spent by staff working on specific clients). For Filters, Slicer Visualization is available in PowerBI. In that Slicer Visualization, We can connect the Date, Clients, Staff Members and Project fields directly. Once the Reports are done we can publish the reports and it will produce an URL.
