Goal:
We want a website similar to this site's section: [login to view URL]
Similar, not the same.
Requirements:
1. Create a new content type called for example "Course". This content type would include an image for the course, title, description, and date fields. To support date field, you will probably need to install the date module.
2. Chose a theme and/or create a subtheme to work on towards creating clone of [login to view URL]
Additionally, you will/might need to modify php page templates & create block template for "Course" content-type
Features clone should have:
1. Logo on top left corner (we will provide logo)
2. Menu for selecting course category on top right corner as well as sign-in button (just like [login to view URL] page)
Notice the submenus, we need submenus too. Probably you need Taxonomy/Tags on "Course" content type just like "Article" content type has, so that submenus take you straight to list of courses that match that taxonomy.
3. Courses listed in list format (Possibly done using Views module), with picture on left and a time/date on the right. The list/view should be sorted by date.
You would need to create fake/data (content-type) that represents these courses for demo purposes. You can make up any fake data.
4. On clicking on a specific course node/content, it should take you to page that displays full details of that course content/node. (Full details will simply include a URL/link field in addition to same fields as already visible in list view of courses)
5. a Footer similar to the one on general assembly page (same look & feel as general [login to view URL] page, try to copy as much)
