We are looking for someone that can write an app or script to retrieve XML formatted feed and update a wordpress mysql database every 6 hours. There are approximately 5000 jobs in a file that is approximately 10MB in size. We want to automate this update 4 times a day or more often if we decide it becomes necessary. We have a dedicated server for processing. This can be written in any language most suited to the task. Our server is a LAMP stack, however we wouldn't be opposed to running a Node or python application. More detailed technical discussion will take place with whoever we hire. We are attaching a XML document for examination and our website is located at [login to view URL] so you can get an idea of how we would be mapping the XML tree into our Wordpress jobs posts table. I can help Hello, I just got done taking a look at the XML file and the site, only thing that's kind of jumping to my mind is how are you determining salaries for the categorization on your site? Granted I didn't dig through the XML file too much, but I didn't see any sort of salary data other than what's in the description (competitive, DOE, etc). Would we just be using some light NLP for the description to try and determine it? Thanks! Keith P.S. I can get started on this as soon as the morning (I'm in the US, It's already evening here.)
