This would be my plan: 1) Make a copy of your site and place it on a virtual machine in the cloud.* 2) Upgrade on my virtual machine.** (keep you posted about everything along the way) 3) Open my virtual machine for you to review and approve of the upgrade. Make corrections if necessary. 4) Once approved. I do the upgrade on the live site. Depending on the site I can do the upgrade directly or do it offline on a local environment and upload the result.
