Module 1 Select a trip

Module Projects- The purpose of each project is to provide you with experience in demonstrating knowledge of how the industry works and capacity for knowing how to handle an assignment when you are in your working career. For each assignment your objective is to complete the following three sections: 1. Report: In this section of your work provide your answer to the project assignment. If it is to select a trip then describe the trip you selected. 2. Process: Show your thinking about the steps you took to complete the assignment. For instance what steps did you take to prepare your answer? What sources did you use and how did you arrive at your decision? 3. Evaluation: Evaluate what you learned and what you will improve on the next time you have an assignment like this one. There could be personal statements starting with I learned, I surprised myself or next time I will definitely. Module 1 -Select a trip. In the first unit you learned about why people travel and what a large industry travel and tourism has become. Now is the time for you to go on a fictional trip with a budget of $1800.00 for a one week vacation for one person. This is slightly above what the average American is spending per person. Where will you go? How will you get there? These are some of the myriad of decisions that you will want to consider as you decide how you will plan this trip. Please prepare no more than a 3 page response. Your 3 page report will have three parts- 1. what you determined to be your answer, 2. how you went about your work, and 3. what you would improve next time you have such an assignment. Be thorough about your budget and show how you will expend the funds. To complete the project with a high grade requires full answers in each of the three areas.
