1. Online Quoting system - maxipit pricing calculator can be designed and developed. 2. User select the tank options, pumpsetup, guide rails, pipework details, freight etc., from the dropdown. 3. Selection of each of the options/ materials will be added and sent to the backend. The system saves the selected options in the database table and generate a quote based on the pricing structure provided. 4. Generated quotes will be sent to customer and the admin as an Email. Companies a. Companies register and login to the system. b. Companies can add users to use the system. c. Each company is assigned with a discount % by the site admin ( from the admin backend) d. Companies can login and view the users quotes. Users: a. User login to the system. b. They can view their dashboard. c. Users can select the various options to generate the quote. d. They will only select the options and submit. e. The system will generate the quote in the backend. f. And send it through email to the User and admin (separate registered email for tracking) g. Quote details will be saved in the database under the users profile. Admin Backend: a. Company management, User management, Company discount management. b. Quote management. c. Admin can view the users quotes. d. Admin option to manage the pricing components of the quote ( options and their price values) Questions a. Hi, I have read the attached excel sheet and yes it is possible to host such type of web application on GoDaddy. I would suggest using windows hosting with cPanel and a standard SSL support to encrypt the sensitive login information during sign in and registration. I have already built custom sites for different customers and are hosted on GoDaddy. I am recommending Microsoft .NET Frame (it is free) with HTML and CSS, jQuery, bootstrap as a standard development platform. Also, by default, the database size is limited to 100MB for MS SQL Database and 2GB for MySQL Database. This will be enough for you to start with. However, I would like to mention that as your data grows over a period of time say a year or so (it is too early to decide the growth rate at this point/moment), you may want to look at better high end server that GoDaddy provides or by other web hosting providers.
