Hi, I am available to do this job. I need to know the edition of server which one you are using. if you are using server 2008 x86 not R2(x64) it will not migrated the only R2 version are available for the upgrade. what application you are currently running on this server. I would like to review all the server configuration and recommended to setup a separate windows server 2016 and test all the running application if all goes OK then we have to try to upgrade if it server 2008 R2. I believe you are are using .net application and SQL server on this server IF yes is are you looking to upgrade the SQL server as well ? Please feel free to contact me to proceed further. I'm a former MCT (Microsoft Certified Trainer), and MCSE/MCDBA with more than 15 years of experience in industry and expert skills on Microsoft Infrastructure. In order to devise a proper solution to your request, there is more information required. Are the servers virtual or physical? What version of 2008 you have in the source server? (It's R2 64bits?). A direct migration from 2008 to 2016 is not possible, but it can be done in a couple of steps (2008r2 to 2012, and 2012 to 2016). However, to determine the best course of action, is important to also get more details on the content of the server to migrate. What role these servers have?
