Simple Product Catalogue Android APP

A simple yet sleek & modern looking product catalogue is what I need. No extra ecommerce functions, just display product info in a good looking style. === GOAL === To replace our physical paper catalogue with a virtual one. === BACKGROUND === We have local physical shops with sales persons attending walk-in clients. Instead of using our paper catalogue we want to our sales persons to have a 10” Android Tablet with our catalog loded in. === WORK NEEDED === This catalogue is simple and straightforward, must show PRODUCT: - Code - Name - Description - Price - Image Additionally ALL our products have a barcode sticker, APP should be able to SCAN this barcode using the tablets rear camera with option to turn flash ON/OFF. The idea is that if our sales person dont know the code of x product he/she can scan the barcode and this will search --> show the correct product info on the tablet. Barcodes are our product codes. And of course a SEARCH function to search for product names/codes. === ADDITIONAL INFO === We have around 800 products and right now and we do have an e-commerce website, it's running on OS Commerce v2.3.3 where we have ALL those products already on a Database. The APP I need can either fetch the data from this database or from another or also can load all from a local/offline database. Internet is not an issue as the APP/tablets will be always used inside our shops were we have internet all the time. The reason i'm mentioning the e-commerce point is that with your tech knowledge I need to know if we can use that to speed up the process of adding those 800 products to the APP. I mean it would be IDEAL-AMAZING if our APP can fetch the Product's basic data from our already online e-commerce. That way we can continue to add/edit/delete from our OSC backend and our APP will be always UP-TO-DATE, but this I leave to you to recommend me or to tell me if its even possible. We usually add more products each year, so I'll need a way to update the catalog for future product corrections, image updates, product adds and deletes. === CONCLUSION === Simple product catalog needed to show Product: Code, Name, Description, Price, Image. I will provide you with: - UI Elements such as hi-res images for background, logo, etc. - ALL the info already database friendly as we already have an e-commerce using MYSQL. So I can provide the images and SQL extracts of the info you need IF the APP will work OFFLINE/LOCAL or to fetch this data from our web server.
