Human Computer Interface (HCI) and e-commerce - An online bike store application Project description: The project requires to investigate basic principles of HCI and e-commerce, two different concepts. Examples and technologies utilized will be also identified and compared. These will be then used to implement an online store application. The system allows user to buy bikes and bike parts online. Credit card payment facility is available. This system also consists of ‘Rent a Bike’ feature where user can ask for bike on rent. The visitor who visits the system must register himself by filling up personal details. After registration user can login to the system with the username and password in order to access the system. User can check for various bikes and can view each bike’s feature. User can also check features of the bike as well as accessories. User may select the product and can add the product to shopping cart. User can make payment through credit cards by clicking on credit card payment option. User can view features of each product and can compare the products in order to purchase a better product. The system will be built having in mind some existing online shops of that type or a specific shop that might use some computer-based system. Note 1. The on line system might be complemented or replaced by an app.
