Hello, Here is the email I have received from our web hoster: We wanted to reach out to make you aware of some changes regarding PHP 5.6 and PHP 7.0 that will be occurring within the month of December. As it stands, the final security update for PHP 5.6 will be applied on December 31st, 2018, while the final security update for PHP 7.0 will be applied on December 3rd, 2018, as per PHP's official site ([login to view URL]). As of January 1st, 2019, we are going to be changing the default version of PHP on our shared and reseller servers to PHP 7.1, which means that any accounts currently set to inherit the server's default PHP version will be directly affected by this change. Should you wish to utilize one of the two PHP versions affected, we have created a handy guide you can use as a resource in order to manually make this change on your end (https://www.hostdime.com/kb/display/HR/MultiPHP+for+cPanel). In addition to changing the PHP version, all accounts will be changed to the Basic style for the Paper Lantern at the same time as the PHP upgrade. I also provide one month guarantee for any found problems related to the new php change. Here is how it is usually done if you are interested. There are some php functions that were eliminated in the php 7 and above. They simply need to be tracked and replaced with the new ones. This is usually a straight forward work. The best way to do it is to download the entire site code and then execute the search for most common functions and replace them one by one Because every site has unique code and might have a different set of functions that need to be looked at. Then try to change the php version to 7.x in the local computer and test if there are any errors and fix them all. And only then upload the changed files back to the server so when the php version change occurs it goes smoothly. Thank you.
