VOIP product

Do a little background research on Sentel to see if you can determine the technology they are using for their back end provider (SIP or otherwise) and server details.(ie. Centos with WHM and cpanel running Asterisk) I already have some hosting options in mind and I prefer Centos with WHM and cpanel, running various services to accomodate the VOIP server and the website. Basically, we need to figure out what voip server and back end sip or trunk providers are available and then make decisions based on cost and reliability to select a primary and alternate. 2. Then we need to review automation. I imagine they have a cron job running and some sort of automation interface for new account creation and modification of specs (add line change #, update billing, change target ani, etc.). I was envisioning a PHP based website that offers a customer signup, account creation, account modification, billing. Also a management interface where we can do these thigs for the customer as well as setup account plans, pricing, minutes available, etc. My plan was to post a project on [login to view URL] to have worldwide coders bid on the things above. You can ask them to propose best technologies and then we can use their bids and comments as a reference and then ultimately select a bidder. Perhaps we can post the project saying we want a functional clone of [login to view URL] with some added features. Ideally we won't be doing the actual coding or design, but rather farming it out for cost effectiveness. Sentel and Affordable Inmate Calling (Axis Internet) are a couple of our competitors. Once we have a working product we can add additional features. First I am just concerned with customers being able to setup numbers that forward to their desired target numbers. We will need to use a BOP facility database and the payphone local number database to determine what areacode and prefixes are local to the facility the customer is in. Billing will be by account plan and will either be unlimited for a flat rate, or 300 minutes and one line for x amount with y amount additional for each additional number.
