Depending on when you plan to publish this, you need to move quickly for the US market. The US market is better when you 'pre-pitch' for B2B technology releases (I speak as someone who has worked for Adobe, IBM, Oracle, Siemens, and Dell). The UK market doesn't expect the leadtime that the US media expects.
Also, if this is a partnership release, then you need some angles to complement the "we have a partnership" story to make it more engaging. Of course, it depends on what your company does: if like Salesforce, you are in the B2B technology space, then you need to think about making the story 'bigger' news and talking about what this means to the market - you should offer the media more insights, possible feature opportunities, interviews with key spokespeople - and you should also have some bylined article ideas you can pitch directly to editors.
