Hi, I'm a full time composer/musician who uses REAPER ([login to view URL]) as my main workstation software on the Mac OSX platform. There is an open source plugin available for Windows/PC that has been programmed in C++ using the JUCE library that I would like compiled and tested/debugged for MacOS.
The user developed plugin is called "Klinke Mackie Control" and basically allows you to control the REAPER software with different hardware control surfaces, (i.e. Mackie MCU, Behringer BCF2000, Behringer X-touch, Presonus Faderport)
The original developer has stated that the plugin has been written with JUCE and is open to anyone having a go at compiling it on the MacOS, as he himself has little experience on that platform. This is a direct quote from the manual by the developer:
"CSurf_MCU_Klinke only runs under Microsoft Windows, no OS X version exists and none is planned from my side. However, the source code is open to everyone and most parts are based on the cross platform library JUCE, so if anyone wants to try to port the extension to OS X, this should be feasible (and I will try to support them as much as possible)."
Hello!
I've a great interest in this project as a C/C++ developer who has heavy experiences in utilization of JUCE library for cross-platform software development.
You can check my previous project review and contact me.
Thanks and Regards,
Richard Minh.
