Full Stack Python / ES6 / Vue developer

An early-stage startup is looking to hire a freelance full-stack developer, to help us bootstrap a new platform for managing the creation of content / documents in a specific field. You will be working with us to design and implement an evolving set of micro-services and components that will eventually form our platform. Initially, work will be hourly and on specific components, but this may evolve into a full-time project if successful. The architecture is highly decentralized, and will be based around a lightweight API gateway written in Python (most likely Flask or a similar micro-framework), that will communicate with backend services over a ZeroMQ based protocol. For frontend code, you will be using Vue.js, possibly with Vuex and a widget framework such as Vuetify. To clarify, our goal is not to have a pixel perfect implementation (we do not have a UI desinger on team yet), but to have something that is well written and will be easy to change as the product evolves (and as a design is created). We *will* provide wireframe mockups and written lightweight specs and do have product managers in the team. We will be providing specs where possible and be here to answer questions, but the work will be mostly agile and iterative, and therefore at least initially not project-based but hourly. What we expect you to have experience in: * Reading and writing specs and design documents and communicate well in technical English * Developing Linux programs and libraries in Python 3.x * Web API / RESTful backend Development in Python, with Flask or a similar microframework * ES6, CSS3, HTML5 and Vue.js frontend development using modern toolsets (babel, webpack, etc.) * Using ZeroMQ or a similar library for messaging infrastructure - a big plus * Working in a start-up like environment, where plans change, systems evolve and trails must be blazed * Understanding of Python's async API is a nice bonus but not a must
