help develop an algorithm in opencv-python to run self-service-barber

Please note this project was advertised earlier, but was withdrawn and now all is clear for it to go ahead but the budget has been reviewed and adjusted accordingly.

I need help on a project that aims to deliver a self-service-barber solution. It's about developing an algorithm that captures an image and do some image analysis/processing like detection, segmentation of roi, clustering, reshaping, drawing lines etc. This processing needs to use a wide variety of methods to perform different analysis to output different dimensions from the ROI like length, density, texture, dominant colour, etc. Also, it has to be interactive as it has to accept user input as arrays or arguments. I done some research on this and got it in my head and think it’s got a lot of commercial potential.

Deliverables

Highlevel Overview of Deliverables / Pipeline / Workflow

• Start the system

• login or register on the web app

Data – Acquisition, Ingestion

• face, head and hair detection (using haar cascades and classifiers)

• show the image (raw or unprocessed)

• capture the image (using web cam or 3D scanner)

• etc

Information – Store, Curate, Cleaning, Feature

• store image in temp directory

• retrieve the image to perform processing and analysis (edge detection, denoising, Hough, contours, thresholding etc)

• use coordinates to segment the head into clusters (input from the user)

• extract features from images and match images

• detect and segment (instance or semantic) hair

• etc

Insights - Modelling

• model to implement head landmark like (68 dlib face landmarks)

• implement supervised / unsupervised machine learning algorithms for image processing

• deep learning models for image classification, segmentation, object detection, transfer learning and neural style transfer

• show the image (processed - try before you buy feature)

• etc

Productionise - Decision

• enable styling each cluster differently (input from the user)

• draw-lines to boundary these clusters (lines guided by head landmarks)

• treat each cluster as separate ROI

• etc

Execution – Action

• confirmation and check out

• algorithm to treat these clusters as one array or list

• algorithm executes
