The second part of your project is pretty simple as its just a matter of running commands remotely, over SSH, I can use paramiko for that, no problem. However the first sentence was not clear, how do you expect the login to Cisco switches to work, what protocol will be involved ?

I already have the python script which will login to devices using telnet and ssh with the username and password defined in the excel file.
