I would like to determine the right mix of questions to undertake a face to face interview with members of the board and executives to determine the current demand and supply of services, determine unmet needs, prompt for service design and value expectations.
The survey should allow me to then continue to continue with the design of a new service for this end of the market, understanding the desire and current serviceability and pricing the final delivery.
I'm not expecting miracles, just a way to ensure that the questions asked will assist me in compiling the data in a way that is empirically sound and can demonstrate market demand for a business case.
I would expect that whomever I would be working with would spend some time with me initially to understand the requirements and help shape the questions, with a review or two to test them against pilot users before the final survey questions are completed.
The expectation of the result of this work is to create _2 sets of questions_ that are intended to be delivered in face-to-face interviews (70% physically, 30% via video conferencing).
The final work delivery is the creation of Questions that would meet empirical and statistical scrutiny.
The outcome each set of questions are:
Set 1: Market Identification - Is there a market, what is the size of unmet supply and what is it worth?
• Find out if there is a need for proposed services; determine size of demand; determine value to market for that demand - and if the proposed services are not needed, what are the unmet requirements of this marketspace, inclusive of demand and value. I'd like to ensure that the questions are neutral enough to not lead the interviewee, but detailed enough to ensure a business & market case and analysis.
Set 2: Individual Data & Information gathering - What is playing on individual board members minds, to determine confidences and concerns that would be a combination of views and opinions on key guided topics that mirror and divert from the above. Again, I'd like to ensure that the questions are neutral enough to not lead the interviewee, but detailed enough to gather enough data to utilise as the basis for creating thought based articles that can be used as part of a sales funnel.
TO BE CLEAR - this is not to write an academic or research paper, this is to create the right questions to meet the proposed market research outcomes.
I will work with the shortlisted candidates to streamline the process and build up the collateral they will need to fulfill the project.
