I am looking for someone with versatility, creativity and autonomy who has the time and commitment to provide real-time support to a Doctor and Consultant working within the pharmaceutical, medical and health industry. Please note this is professional writing, not article writing. Your tasks will include: Writing - large reports, articles and presentations to a publishable standard (all work is quality controlled) Research - the most up to date and accurate quality information on a given topic, including the use of reliable resources (all work is peer reviewed) Personal Assistance - working alongside the Doctor via Skype to assist with administrative (such as searching for experts to interview) tasks related to a variety of different projects While it is not essential for you to have a health / medical background, it is essential that you have the capability to make yourself an expert on a given topic during your role. Punctuality, reliability and strong communication skills are a must as all projects are done to deadlines. You will be moving between projects so will also need to be able to adapt quickly. The time needed from you will vary, but you can be guaranteed regular work. Pay: £15 per hour for the first one month, increasing to £20 per hour after your probationary period. For the right candidate, further increases are possible. Large reports may be offered at a flat fee and you will have the choice whether to accept or not. The flat fee is usually £1000, depending on length. Bonuses available to candidates who go above and beyond job requirements. Favorite animal: Although there isn't really a single animal that I would class as my favourite, I am a big fan of reptiles. Not only did I have both a leopard gecko and a tortoise when I was little, but also had a reptile blog until I sold it a few years ago. They're very interesting animals and there are a lot of interesting facts & information to learn about them, like the fact that many reptiles have a parietal eye on the top of their head. It's photoreceptive but doesn't function in the same way their normal eyes and there's no consensus on what the exact function is. Working background and experience: I'm a content marketer and SEO at the moment and have been doing this fulltime as a freelancer for around five years now. Although much of the writing work I do is more marketing-related (blogs, ebooks), I have written in a number of technical industries in the past (investment banking, tech, proteomics/genomics etc). These have always been my favourite projects to work on. I'm used to researching complex topics in-depth and I'm an avid learner, spending much of my free time learning/reading up on various topics, including psychology, nutrition/health, IT, macro-economics, and pretty much anything else I come across that I find interesting. Unfortunately, this is all I can write here (max 1500 characters) and Freelancer doesn't allow attachments, but I'd be happy to tell you more over chat & send you some examples of past writing.
