Guidelines for the Final Paper:
The paper should include at minimum the following sections:
a. Title page: Title of your paper, student names, course number and title, semester.
b. Introduction: A discussion of the subject matter, how the topic was selected and general
background.
c. Operation: clear discussion of how the sensor works, what is the sensing mechanism used, how it is fabricated,..
d. Characteristics: describe input-output characteristics, transfer function, linearity, accuracy,
frequency response,…
e. Advantages and disadvantages compared to other sensors
f. Applications: describe the areas where the selected sensor is used and an analysis of its share of the sensor market.
h. Conclusion
i. Acknowledgements A statement thanking those who have assisted you in any way during your research. See IEEE journals for various formats.
j. References List all references actually used to write the paper. The footnote and reference
format should follow the format used in the journals published by the IEEE. See Examples
follows.
The font used should be times New Roman, size 11. The left, right, top, and bottom margins should be 1 inch each. Read Less
