I've been a Senior Software Engineer for the last 5 years with some high profile UK companies. Just to clarify about this project, am I right in thinking this is just a DB analysis and documentation task? When you talk about functional and none functional requirements, what do you mean by this? I can tell you what data the database stores, but in terms of the functional and none functional requirements this would largely need to be driven by yourself as it is for your business. I could help you to identify the appropriate requirements but it would need to be through conversations rather than me just going away and coming up with what I think you need. I have been working for last 6 years in Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects. I have good exposure of requirement gathering, Requirement analysis documents, design documents etc. During Project design phase I have created many Entity Relationship diagrams and later on we have used same for development, testing and support of application. As this is an existing database, I would need to deep dive for thorough understanding of all the tables and data consists in it along with their relationship with each other.
