I have an excel file (6-7 sheets). Each sheet has around 6-8 columns (fixed), each column length could be variable (basically number of rows varies per sheet). But the length of the row per sheet remains the same. What do I need: 1. Python enabled GUI where I can change/edit/manually update the values (excel sheet) 2. Do some background calculations/formulas (that I will provide) and make some plots (8-10 plots) 3. Save all the plots in a folder. 4. Every time, the simulation is run, I mean we execute from the GUI, the new plots overwrite in the same folder AND the old plots are saved in a subfolder with date what they were generated.

Dear employer, I am an experience Python programmer and I can deliver the GUI conform your specification. Questions: I expect you need the GUI for a windows machine? I will recommend 'QT' for python which has a nice modern interface. I'm wondering if you still need the excel sheet because you will do all the editing from the GUI. Another possibility is to import the excel to a mysql database and maintain the change there but can be discussed. I like to hear from you, Greetings, Tobie

I can code the python gui in Django. After performing calculations for each sheet the plots can be done to a specific file. As per your description every sheet has a fixed number of columns but varying number of rows. I hope it is not a very large number of rows like thousands of rows. Thanks

Hi there, I can develop an addin in Excel (which will be available in the ribbon for every file you open) to execute the code you asked for. Note that this solution is VBA based and not Python, but it should run equally (probably even better since it is native in Excel). Hi, Is there a specific reason to go for Python? I can do the same in VBA code, that will be part of the Excel file and maintained inside the file. That way, the code lives with the data and can be copied/moved/shared across easily. To do this in VBA, I cna do it in one day for $20-$30, depending on the customization required.
