Technical Co-Founder | CTO | Software Architect - Retail Tech SaaS Startup (Equity)

We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Technical Co-Founder / Engineering Lead or Software Architect to help partner and build the next innovative digital retail technology company. Who are we? We are creating a unique and innovative e-commerce technology that will tap high-demand and previously unmet sector needs in the five trillion dollars global retail e-commerce market. Our CEO is a seasoned digital retail entrepreneur and business leader with over 20 years in direct-to-consumer e-commerce and digital retail with experience in private equity and VC fundraising, investor, board, and leadership roles at early-stage startups as well as leading publicly traded companies. He has led previous ventures through successful exits and strategic acquisition deals. ​He brings foundational experience and a deep understanding of the product and technical requirements needed to develop an MVP and go-to-market strategy for our product. Requirements: Deep SaaS software architecture, ground-up design, and development experience to bring an enterprise technology product to market Full-stack engineering experience in various languages such as Python, JS, C++ Data integration and database architecture and design Strong understanding of API protocols/architecture Experience leading technical teams: retail tech, martech, fintech, and/or consumer tech startup environment Nice to-Haves: Experience building and successfully launching SaaS retail tech products Product management Product UX/UI design Experience working in high growth startup or working with VCs/environment Degree in CS, Engineering, or Programming Responsibilities: Develop and define product roadmap and maintain a technical long-term vision Develop front-end and back-end of the platform, ability to effectively liaise with third-party development firms as needed Hire and manage a team of programmers and designers and/or hire and manage a development firm when the time is right Responsible for product timelines, deliverables, and KPIs What We Offer: Competitive equity compensation (initial pre-launch contract salary negotiable) Experienced co-founder with excellent track record and history of execution Opportunity to meaningfully change the way digital retailers operate and transform e-commerce brands Unique chance to build your own team and help define our company culture Remote with ability to work in-person as needed What You’ll Do: Partner with our CEO and advisors to plan, execute, build, and refine the platform, product, and tech roadmap Oversee the design, software development, communicate effectively with investors and customers on all technical matters Build and develop a world-class development team to help us scale to a billion-dollar company
