As a business developer I spent many years of my professional life winning accounts, meeting sales targets, growing accounts, and managing an account portfolio of over US$2m for leading insurance broking company in the Philippines. While working at Thomson Financial I was stationed in the Sydney office , experiencing Australia market. Moreover, I have deep knowledge if commercial insurance products. Recently I have been involved in developing the Trade Credit Insurance program for SMEs in the Philippines for an Fintech/Insure Tech startup. I have strong Asia regional and international sales experience. My key strength is in developing new markets as well as in growing accounts to a profitable level.
My approach to developing business is purposeful; i spend time to learn more about a prospective account. My initial goal is to get in by winning small deals or projects to get me a foot in the door and learn about competitive landscape, decision making structure for the account and from there plot out a more strategic plan to increase revenue and get the upper hand in the account. I believe in starting small and building on the relationships in this way the business i win is profitable over the long term and stays in the books.
