Transcription

The Position I am seeking for Transcribers/Transcriptionists to review and transcribe audio files of interviews into text files. Context and Background I am currently investigating on the Sharing Economy or Collaborative Consumption practices in Metro Manila for my masteral thesis. No prior knowledge on this field is required for applicants, although good listening skills and knowledge of the English and Filipino languages (e.g. grammar and spelling) are needed. Interviews are below 1 1/2 hours. Duties and responsibilities • Must accurately type audio material from interviews into Microsoft Word using the format to be provided • Must be able to proofread one’s work • Must turnover output within 24 hours upon receipt of audio file, or as agreed • Must be able to revise/correct, if need be, and should be submitted within 12 hours upon request for Payment The compensation will depend on the length of the voice recording, not by the total amount of hours spent by the freelancer to complete the task. For a 1 1/2 hour long interview, the compensation will be PhP 400. Upon submission of work, I will evaluate if your work is satisfactory. Otherwise, I shall return it to you for clarification and revision. A good output may result to renewal of contract for another transcription work. If you are interested of taking on all the transcription work (approximately 30 interviews or at least 30 hours of interview), please let me know and we can negotiate the arrangement for this. Non-disclosure agreement Not at any time, during or after the terms of this agreement shall you disclose any information collected from the materials to be provided, and any confidential information relating to me to any third person/party. By agreeing to this contract, it is explicitly understood and irrevocably agreed that the all the information collected therein, is my sole property and shall not be disclosed under any circumstance either directly or indirectly to any third party/person.
