Hello. I am a French translator. I work manually, no Google and no CAT tool, so can only offer the languages I know: French and English. For proofreading, I check and correct (with track changes): spelling, punctuation, grammar, language and style. I bid the average calculated by the system as I would like to see the text I would have to work with before bidding a firm figure. Translated texts vary greatly in quality and proofreading/correcting a text "translated" by Google or a CAT tool will take much longer than checking a text properly translated by a professional translator. Google will need to be translated from scratch, and CAT tool work will need to be checked and rewritten. Let me add that I work independently. I am not part of any agency. I will do the work myself.
