Develop an network locomotion system in Unreal 5 that can be used for players and AI, either using character movement system or a custom subclass.
A sample UE5 C++ project setup will be provided with zombie character moving slowly with root motion. The zombie will be play control and AI controlled
- Character must not be foot skating locally or viewed over the network
- Character should be in sync with movement and animation
- In poor network conditions, the character should interpolate smoothly from last known position to move in direction
- there are physics objects in the scene that are push around, the character must not teleport into them. (The boxes don't have the in sync)
- there is moving platform in scene, character should be able to stand on it and by in sync
- the character will need to jump (not done here) but it not just root motion, so the locomotion system must be able to be enabled/disable by animation event
- You can use blueprint or C++ to implement
