I need an editor to make some amends to an existing video by adding some more content, and some music. It literally needs 1-2 hours of somebody's time.
The original brief is attached and the video made to date is below, but I have quite specific instructions on what additions/edits need to be made, so the task should be relatively simple. The context and ask is below.
CONTEXT
This is a leaving video for someone in our organisation. It’s currently about 5 minutes but we can make it as long as we wish.

Overall
- We like the 3 part structure being used around the guy with glasses, but we need more humour in the video. Currently it’s all quite caring and nice. Can we switch the mid section and end section around so that the funny stuff happens at the beginning AND middle of the video, and the sad/nice comments at the end?
- We need the sadder moments to be towards the end with emotive music.
Individual Points
- An undercurrent of background music is needed throughout which would make the video feel a little bit less serious. In the Editor brief above are some great music options, but some additional suggestions are also below.
o ‘Another Day in Paradise’ by Phil Collins is the suggested end song as it relates to one of Rob’s known jokes
o Smooth Operator by Sade (specifically the ‘Coast to Coast, LA to Chicago” line) could be used in one of the funny sections
- We would want to put the more serious stuff at the end, and the funny stuff in the start and mid sections of the video.
- I will share the video footage with you if you think this task is feasible.
There’s definitely content for more comedic roasting and more of his other comedic traits to be referenced to make the video more of a roasting piece until the end section – could we swap Sanjiv (guy in glasses) sections around to accommodate for that?
o Can we include the story told in the folder ‘Alex L’ about the trainers (from around 0.16 to 1.05)
o Include James Latham’s bit in the folder ‘James’ where he talks about Rob’s “distinctive assets” (other funny bits are at 0.10-0.12, 0.50 – 1.24, 1.49 -1.58, DEFinitely include 2.51 -3.12 as a minimum)
o James Appleby’s quick 3 things is funny to include too in the folder ‘Jimmy Apples’
