web-based remote server collaboration

Hello, my goal is to create a website that will allow users to connect to a remote desktop. I'm a musician and many other musicians like to collaborate and sometimes it's cumbersome sending files back and forth which inevitably result in dependancy errors. Another big issue is the fact that many artists would prefer to collaborate in realtime. While remote desktop programs like Teamviewer are somewhat a solution, this requires both parties to download uncessecary programs on their computer. Both parties might not even have powerful enough hardware to stream their connection to another party, espeically with resource intensive programs running. I want to build my own server with the intention of hosting several remote clients that will run 24/7, and in each environment include essential music production programs for my clients to utilize together. These servers will then be able to be rented (probably for free), and you will be given the option to extend your session or to cancel when finished. Sessions will be deleted and the client reset to default for the next party.
