CUSTOMIZE/CREATE CHILD THEME FOR EXISTING WP DIRECTORY THEME I own a licensed version of Vantage (a directory theme from APPTHEMES). It includes many useful functions, but lacks several others that I want to add. Also, it is very poorly designed (UGLY) and needs a serious facelift. Therefore, I have created a new basic design that needs to be integrated into the Vantage directory theme to change the look and feel for all pages, preferably by creating a child theme. All standard Wordpress functions must remain in place, such as the ability to create/edit pages and menus as needed, etc. A demo of the standard off-the-shelf Vantage theme can be viewed at: [login to view URL] A good example of how I want my new customized version to look and feel can be found at [login to view URL] . This is NOT my site, just an approximate example of how the redesigned site should look. I will give you my specific URL and design once I accept your bid. SPECIFIC CHANGES REQUIRED: 1. FRONT END - Incorporate my design and colors into the existing theme by creating a child theme. - Directory categories and attributes must be placed in a vertical column on the left (as in the example) and visitors must be able to filter directory listings by selecting any number of categories/attributes from the left column. - Matching listings are then displayed, in order of numerical ranking (as ranked by admin in backend). - Eliminate the existing "featured" listing space from Vantage. 2. CLIENT SIGNUP PROCESS - When client selects Claim LIsting or Create Listing, he is shown a custom Signup Splash Page that introduces several signup/upgrade options (such as Top 10 and TOP 50). Several subsequent pages and forms will be required. We will need to discuss design choices here and I will show you several different examples of what I would like. - Client Signup Page needs clean design & layout and must include fillable information fields such as number of employees, contact info and numerous other attributes. - Service categories - Client will select one or more service categories in which they want their business to appear. The number of categories that may be selected varies by chosen service plan (this function already exists in Vantage). However, admin must also be able to modify/override (limit or add to) the preset number of selected categories available for an individual client if desired, regardless of chosen plan. 3. BACK END - Allow admin to rank each listing numerically from within; higher ranking places the listing higher in results. - disable/hide the ability to have listings reviewed by others. - Adding, deleting, editing categories will reflect on client signup pages and client dashboards. However, admin must have the ability to create but hide certain categories/attributes from client dashboard. For example, If I create a category called “Top Ten,” I may want to make this category visible and selectable in front end (by visitors), but not selectable or visible from the client dashboard. In the interest of confidentiality, I will share my URL, colors and design, and offer more specific details once I feel you are responsible and qualified to handle this project. TO BE CONSIDERED: - Your English skills must be excellent. - You must have a history of successful project completion.
