Hi. This project sounds very interesting. I'm an Aussie living in the Philippines and I see the benefits in this project because I have had some experience with the building industry in Qld - as a draftsman originally I have done numerous building plans for council submission, I was involved in renovating 2 houses and building one. I held an owner builders license for one of those renovations and had to deal with the council building inspectors. Your spec is quite clear and concise, I would suggest though that you integrate google maps into the addresses, users find that very convenient. I would also suggest adding filtering and sortable columns to your list table pages if you think the number of entries might get large (you mention scrolling pages which made me think many entries). You also don't mention app integration. That's fine, but if an app was a consideration for the future I'd strongly suggest you include an API in the back end now for the future app to push and pull its data to/from. Where are you deploying to? You mention VB.net and ASP.net (both of which I have done projects in), does that mean you already have a Windows .net web server? I don't currently have a .net web server (mine is Linux/Apache) for developing .net on. If you already have a .net server I could use that or I could hire .net hosting temporarily.
