General Description: The purpose of the UX/UI designer will to be create the website designs that the front-end developers will be building. Preferably the skill level of this individual will advance enough to create sleek experiences that will immediately impress users yet have a simplistic and intuitive design. What we don’t want is to have a site that looks like all the rest in the space. Essentially we need the skill and confidence in sites that could get featured on [[login to view URL]]([login to view URL]). We are looking for someone who is able to work with us long term as opposed to just on a single project basis. Uniqueness can be added in with micro-interactions, loading screens, hover animations, creative transitions, and/or have dynamic elements in the site that are fun/entertaining to the user. It may take more time and have additional costs but it’s about the image we are trying to create. We need someone skilled and creative enough to be able to be there in the brainstorming phase. Often times the functionality is easily thought of but thinking of a UI to match has been a challenge at times. It would be extremely helpful for someone to be there to suggest ideas without only being told exactly what to do. Additionally, we would like to create a mentorship where one or two hours a week are put into training an individual or two about their skilled discipline. Requirements - Experience in the principles in graphic designing - Experience in creating responsive and dynamic UI/UX - Ability to concept and create loading animations, hover animations and microinteractions, non-linear transitions - Ability to design a wholistic experience for the user - Familiarity with software programs such as Adobe Illustrator, XD, Photoshop, Figma, or Webflow to effectively draft and showcase websites - Ability to be provide creative inspiration in the beginning design phase of a website - Effective communication for explaining design to front-end developers, projected timelines and feasibility of requests - Understanding of color theory - Ability to compromise between individual creativity and client requests - Understanding of SEO is a plus - B1-B2 English Fluency Plus - Basic knowledge in modern CSS and HTML is preferred for communication purposes - Basic knowledge in web development - Understanding of JavaScript libraries for 2-D and 3-D animations such as [login to view URL] and WebGL.
