I'm also doing bug reports and test cases for doing manual testing. this website is under development and every day adding new future and test the feature. I'm able to create automation via cypress scenario recorder or getting an element from a console. I think getting elements from the console is the best way to create automation because you can use the script letter to run it. I think it is also the same for your requirement.
