My industrial experience working at the South African company Tongaat Hulett allowed me to develop mathematical models which solved complex and challenging problems by predicting the behavior of system variables through statistical analysis, thereby determining trends and relationships between variables.
My interdisciplinary qualifications provide me with the tools for applying different methodologies to optimize and control diverse processes through to use of a wide range of modern statistical techniques such as optimization, machine learning, time series forecasting, clustering or dimensionality reduction methods. I also have experience teaching Mathematics, Physics, Thermodynamics and heat transfer at the university level.
I spent more than ten years in formal education training in programs such as Matlab, Homer Energy, R, Python, Spark, SQL, and Maple. These tools bring me mathematical rigour to help guide decision-making based on data analysis. These are some examples of the development of projects in Matlab and Python.
I have knowledge of NumPy, Scipy, Matplotlib and Pandas Python libraries for data analysis. I am interested in solving real problems using my programming and math skills, cognitive and problem-solving capacity.
