Artist to Color Illustration for Coloring Book Cover

We're adding color to the cover of our book and you should be the artist to do it!

Whether you add it with incredible coloring pencils skills, markers, watercolors, or your favorite medium, the colored cover should stand out and look spectacular. It must be eye-catching and professional!

**Make sure to tell me what medium you are using in each entry.**

Other than that, go nuts and explore your creative side!

Download the cover PDF and print it at home.
Pro tip: print it on a A3 paper.

Final results must be digitized properly for maximum resolution. TIFF file required. You must have access to a quality scanner. Here's a video that shows you how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2zzEeC247k

Final file should be a high resolution scan saved as a TIFF or an illustrator file in case of digital coloring.

Hi all, thank you for your entries so far. I'm noticing that most artists are having trouble with the logo areas, the titles, the spine and the text section. These areas have to be treated with care since they should stand out. I suggest to either leave them blank or find a way to color them without overwhelming said areas. Somebody picking up the book would want to read it or see it clearly at least.

Also, we are looking for great coloring: it has to have harmony, think about color combinations that are complimentary and that make the artwork "pop." Shadowing is great. Don't miss your chance to add color variations. For example, I've noticed some artists in the rush to finish the work are coloring entire sections with one single color. That doesn't look good. For example, the letter M in the back cover looks like it has frosting/icing on top. If you color the M green, would the frosting on top be also green? I don't think so. It's like a red velvet cake. The cake is red and the frosting is white. Think about that when you color! Avoid sloppy work!
