We just started the implementation of a simple web application, where we will give the doctors the possibility to check if a change of the medical tariff would result for them in increase or decrease of their income…

The doctors will upload a list with their performances and as a result they will receive an Excel Pivot Table indicating how these are going to be translated into the new medical tariff.

The user interface for this application will be really simple: a page explaining the functionality, with a login and registration form and then the form for uploading the file and getting the results.

I thought it could be a nice idea to use a "funny" balanced scale (cartoon), as symbol for the application (the attached file is a VERY poor example). A balance with two piles of documents (representing the “old” and “new" performances) on each arm of the scale. According to the result, we could either make that the old pile or the new one weights more. Making the balanced scale a bit “human” (with perhaps a face), we could even display it as sad or happy (resp. if we would have a lost or a gain).

What we would need:

The agreed balanced scale in at least three versions (all in vectorial format):
- standard (to use as the application symbol)
- case of lost (old weights more)
- case of gain (new weights more)
- case of no change

In addition we would also need an animation (animated GIF?) to display during the computation (arms of the scale go up and down?)
