Hi Everyone,

I'm starting a blog about being a stay at home father and need some help with art. The prize may be only $10 but I may pick more than one winner and/or it may lead to more work for my site. I'm going to be asking for a pretty specific art style, but I'm open to anything if you think it will impress me! So here goes, what I'm looking for:

- Father doing typical mother and/or father stuff while taking care of a baby girl. I've included a couple of rough sketches (please pardon my lack of drawing skills) so you can see what I mean. You can redraw the same thing or come up with your own!

- I want the images to look somewhat like me and my daughter. I don't what photo realistic art, but if someone knows me and my daughter they should be able to recognize that the art us. I'm overweight, I know it and the art needs to show it, but I'm not a balloon so please be reasonable. I've included a couple photos of myself and my daughter for reference.

- I prefer for my character to be drawn in jeans and either a polo shirt or button down shirt, untucked as that is how I normally dress. Also I wear a backwards baseball cap quite often but hair is fine.

- For my daughter all I ask is that she is drawn with her hair in a pony tail on top of her head. You can see what I mean in my drawings. Other than that we'll see what you come up with.

- The style I think I'm looking for is retro, I'll include a couple of pieces of clip art so you can see what I mean (I would like color though!). But again I'm open to genius if you think something else applies. That being said please stick to simple with clean lines.

- I'm looking for quirky. I want my readers to see the art and be moved to smile, maybe even a knowing smile.

- Whatever you do keep the art style simple. I want my readers to smile, but I still would like them to go on to read the article.

- I would like the drawings to be 300 ppi and at least 6" tall, the width can be whatever is necessary for the drawing.

- I also need a transparent background so vector drawings (adobe illustrator or photoshop file formats preferred) or at least a .png with transparent background, please.

- Feel free to enter multiple drawings, especially if I indicate I like your style. I am looking for multiple pieces.

Hi everyone, thank you for all the great entries! A quick tip: I'm getting a lot of entries focusing on the drawing of me with the baby and vacuum, and that's fine, but they're starting to blend together! A great way to get my attention is to try to come up with a situation for your drawing that no one has used yet! Thanks again!

Another note for everyone: I see that the crowd favorite is blue for the color of the shirt, but there are being contrast issues between the shirt and pants (the blues are too close). I wear colors other than blue, don't be afraid to shake up the color palate a little! Right now when I look at the entries I see a lot of blue so nothing really stands out... just a little hint. Also, if I haven't mentioned the contrast issue in your notes then it's not a problem, this note is more for new entrants so they know that a blue shirt isn't necessarily what I'm looking for! Looking at the entries so far, my wife and I agree that the mole on my left cheek should be in the image. Just a dot is fine, but it's one of the few identifying marks I have so it should be included. THANKS! Great entries so far!

Everyone, don't forget I would like to be in blue jeans (long pants) in the drawings, and I would like the drawings in color, simple washes would be fine.
