A passionate researcher in science and a PhD holder:- - Standardization of TCM herbal extract; - mRNA and protein expression on erythropoietin and iron recycling related proteins on blood nourishment effects induced by the TCM extracts; - mRNA and protein expression of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), Glial cell-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) and Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) for neuroprotection and sedative effect inducted by the TCM extracts; - mRNA and protein expression on interleukins for immuno-modulatory effect inducted by the TCM extracts - Establish authentic herbal medicine standardization protocols for devising and implementing regulatory measures for Chinese medicine in Hong Kong under the "Hong Kong Chinese Materia Medica Standards" launched by Department of Health - HKUST's ecopark management and funding applications An Environmental Protection Officer: - Provide professional input on the day-to-day implementation and enforcement of statutory controls on water, waste management and disposal, air pollution, and noise pollution; - Scrutinize applications from effluent discharge, chemical waste producer registrations, clinical waste producer premises code and waste electrical and electronic equipment licence of industrial premises, commercial premises and construction sites; - Coach pollution controls investigations and steering the direction of investigation; - Projects related to water media in Hong Kong, e.g. Revitalization of Jordan Valley Nullah, , Energizing Kowloon East – Revitalization of Tsui Ping River, Harbour Area Treatment Scheme, Lei Yue Mun Village Sewerage Project, Revitalization of Tsui Ping River and Anderson Road Quarry Site Road Improvement works; - Audit follow-up tasks on Village House Sewer Connection Programme in rural areas, restored landfills, expedient connections in buildings and recycling bin management; and - Managing contract on compliance monitoring of major effluent discharges from different sectors, including industrial, commercial, residential premises and construction sites in Hong Kong. - Managing contract on the provision of recyclables collection services to kerbside recycling bins in Hong Kong 덜 보기
