Excel file needs to speed up!

Hi,
We worked very hard on an excel sheet for our company. By bow it gathered a large amount of data and has two issues which need to be solved.
1) Circular reference.
2) Speed up the sheet.
In #2, (speed the sheet) thats talking about that there are many formulas that do more than one command. If you know a better way to get the results rather than doing what it does now, than fix it to a better formula.
