Illustrator to InDesign Project

We have a 44 pg product catalogue, built in Illustrator, in English, that we need rebuilt in Indesign to let us maintain/change/add products and pages from the English catalogue into different languages. The catalogue is a combination of product/variety/pricing/quantity tables and other information. We would like that pricing in different languages were uploadable through excel. We would also like your suggestions in order to achieve as much automation,data consistency and integration as the software/s will [login to view URL] way you would achieve this is up to you and your Program knowledge, and your Strategic thinking/Project skills.. We require that you explain your plan and its integration features before we go ahead.

We have refined our project slightly and would appreciate if all the bidders would reconsider their offer based on these new requirements:
We have decided that we don’t want to use Excel files as data sources. The text and number content would be in the InDesign file.
Price tables need to be in table format for easy editing whilst still keeping the original visual style/appearance.
Each language will be on their own layer. Pricetables will be on their own layer. This way we don’t have to change the prices more than once since the prices apply to all languages within a country. This would be the system unless a better solution is offered.
We would like to also get some creative touches on the catalogue. If you feel like you could give some page a better layout we are open to these changes. We are looking for a design partner who could help us also maintain the catalogue in future and also with other design tasks. This is why we would like to challenge all the bidders who are serious about this into showing how well they understand our goals with our visual marketing.
The challenge is to re-lay-out one catalogue page (see the attachment) into two pages in InDesign. We are not fully satisfied with the current one-page layout and we want to see who has the skills/experience to translate our textile printing business into a more readable form. Think from customer’s point of view and use your creative thought!
