I am targeting an Oct. launch for a new type of printing & Communications Company. It is an entirely new way of buying and selling printing, design and all related services. We can call it Social Media Network Marketing or SMNM.
It will potentially require building the site from the ground up although there are plenty of software services available with “parts” that I will be looking for.

It will be a web to print portal where users can create their own printed goods. Primary products will be photobooks & greeting cards, brochures, posters & eventually include everything from t-shirts & pens to novels & books.
Users will be able to place orders for product or list their product for sale. Designers will be able to upload their design templates for other users to buy & utilize.
Marketing will be a unique strategy combining network marketing & affiliate marketing so referrals, sales & commissions will have to be tracked precisely.
Users will have the ability to upload & store images so large storage capacity will be necessary.
The system will have to deliver press ready PDF files.
I am open to utilizing open source software like & SAAS like Magento & Zetaprint but would prefer more control if possible. The system will have to be scalable & have the ability to grow quickly. It can be completely proprietary or it could just tie together many different products.
I am completely into hearing new ideas & approaches.
