ASANA Utilities

We have adopted Asana (i.e. [url removed, login to view]) as the team productivity application for task tracking and project management. While an excellent tool, it emits some shortcomings which can be resolved with custom development. Asana developer resources are here:

REQUIREMENTS

1. Implement support to bulk import tasks specified in an Excel spreadsheet (preferably) or a CSV file into an existing OR new project in Asana.

2. Implement support to bulk export tasks into an Excel spreadsheet (preferably) or a CSV file from an existing Asana project.

3. Implement support to copy an Asana project from a distinct work space and all its tasks into a new project of another work space.

SPECIFICATIONS

1. Command line tool

Example: [url removed, login to view] -import|export|copy -source "filename"

2. Command line outputs records processed and errors, if any

3. Command line utility will be used programmatically

4. Columns to support are:

Title

Description

Due Date

Tag

Assign

Followers (Plural)

5. While CSV is the preferred import file, a "nice to have" stretch goal will be to support Office 2013 EXCEL filfes
