This project is to split products table into multiple tables
we use pinnacle cart as shopping cart
it has products table as main product display table which is becoming large
we like to split this table into multiple tables
we have 2 options to do this.
option (1) products table has a column called [url removed, login to view] which is actually occuppaing lot of space
we can move this column to another table and split that tabel into multiple tables
and access it to display
option (2) split entire products table into multiple tables 2,3,4 ---n and make changes in the code
to access data
your work is to make changes to pinnacle cart php files to handle this.
If you are expert you can figure out and do it fairly simply.
shopping cart is based on php,css,smarty code
there is a function where it pulls the data for description and you can use a where condition
based on product_id unique key and direct which table to access data.
if you have knowledge on pinnacle cart you can handle this work easily
