Offsite Backup Automation Application

Online (offsite) backup application is common on the Internet. Some are simple and some are more in-depth complicated. Take a simple one for example, Carbonite. This project is about to make a application clone of Carbonite ([url removed, login to view]). Coders are require to sign-up a Trial account in order to provide a proposal to us, which should include the functions and features, back-end technology (program languages, database, etc.), and the time frame of completing the project. The require application outcomes should at least include: 1. Server Software to be run on Linux/Unix servers OR MS Windows Servers; 2. Client Software to be run on MS Widnows (Linux and MacOS are welcome as add-on) 3. A Website with automatic customer sign-up, User Control Panel, etc. The user control panel should has a function which allows users to browse their backup (list of files with directory structure, but not the files themselves. This could be done as retrieving a text based log file). The reason why we are not listing the SRS is that we are looking for long-term relationship and so, we need to know the abilities of coders on problem analysing. We need you (coders) to understand problems and provide suggestions. We believe that the project may still have plenty of enhancements to be implemented, and the developers (coders) are expected to work with us for long-term. We need a reliable and talent team. ## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Windows / Linux / Unix MSSQL / MYSQL / PHP / .NET / JScript We prefer the backup server to be run on Linux, and at least have client software on Windows and MacOS. Website prefer PHP.
