we require a web based system to manage items check ins and check out

- Software does not have to generate barcodes. All barcodes will be generated using other software
- Software needs to be barcode scanner friendly. Barcodes input data the same way as keyboards and pass and {ENTER} key press after reading the barcode
- Software will need to be able to send automatic emails.
- Software must have a simple user authentication for employees to sign in before using the system. All reports including check ins and check outs must include the employee that completed it (that was logged in)
- Software will run online must be PHP and MySQL based
- Ajax or any other real time updating system must be used rather than having the system reload the page every time a barcode is scanned, or any other action taken
- The system must be easy to navigate, and icon based. Clean GUI is a must. Bootstrap preferable
- Reports should be template based (smarty?) so translations can be done
