Build an automated stock management system IoT

I have a big customer base, I need to manage stock in all my customers shops. my Idea is simple and cheap.
Hardware- Using a toggle switch and 3d printed casing, it can track the stock. the product is hooked on the toggle switch, when product is pulled down the toggle is pulled in the off position. this will trigger a -1 on the system, so when it has changed position, it will notify me there is 1 less product on the rack. it needs to connect to Wifi to communicate with the server.
Software needs to be easy to use, and I need to be able to trust what it is telling me. This system will control logistics in the company. I will need unlimited revisions of website.
