TTY File transfer over audio

Hi there folks we need a new mind for some old technology!

basically we want to make a program that can take RFC1113 Vanilla ANSI-C Code for a portable stand-alone file encode/decode whilst transmitting this document as a sound file format or just out loud as a TTY (like a modem but without a phone line.)

the program must be able to send and receive through the mic and speakers

the program must be able to know when the message starts and when it ends and when a new one begins.

for example------------------

info will be stored here

second info here

end2end2end2...etc

it will also need to be able to send anyfile as ansi code .txt, .exe, .doc etc..

Ideally C or any portable language is desired to make this program as we would like to build a mac and windows version and possibly a mobile version at a later stage.

CONCLUSION

this program must be able to convert any file to ANSI-C/HEX code to be submitted by sound using TTY (no modem just sound output)

it must also be able to receive the sound through mic or audio file to be decoded.

Eventually this program will be used with a FM transmitter modem for wireless-dialup internet in small areas that cannot get 3g or decent wifi.
