I am currently working as an Investment Banking Research Analyst with Arbor Advisors. My responsibilities involve working on various potential sell side M&A engagements of mid-small scale private companies within technology sector; analyze prospects in terms of business models, capital structures, growth opportunity and scalability. As an Intern at Equanum Capital Management, I dealt with derivative instruments such as options and futures, perform research and valuation of companies within semiconductor, mobile and retail sector. I also prepared a stock pitch for an upcoming IPO. The exposure in this internship along with my Bachelors in Electronics Engineering has enabled me to gain a good understanding regarding the drivers in technology sector as well as the operations for a hedge fund. Prior to my current course of study, I was a wealth manager with Citibank, N.A, where I managed portfolios of high net worth individuals and corporations. This experience made me more competent in handling financial instruments such as equity, debt, mutual funds, structured derivative products and foreign exchange. This role involved working with a team of analysts which strengthened my skills of communication, people management, negotiation and team building. As a wealth manager with a large bank I was exposed to banking functions and operations. I was able to apply soft skills as well as knowledge in finance gained during my Masters in Business Administration. I have a strong background in corporate finance and I am familiar with principles of accounting.
