## BIO
I have eight (8) years of design and development experience including about 4 years in the United States. I have 2 years for project management experience & client-server development using object oriented analysis in VC++ and VB in Windows multi – tier architecture and COM/DCOM based applications. I have managed a team of developers/programmers EDUCATION Master Degree in Computer Applications, India 1995 Bachelor’s Degree in Science, India, 1992 OP. SYSTEM Windows NT (Ver 4.0) / 3.51, Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 SOFTWARE VC++ (all versions), ATL (all versions), STL, MFC, C++, C, VB 3.0/5.0 DATABASE MS SQL Server 6.5, MS Access 7.0 TOOLS MTS 1.0, Bounds Checker 6.0, Virtual Source Safe 6.0, Crystal Reports 4.5, Rational Purify, XML PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 1. CONFIDENTIAL NY, Aug’ 99 till now Our company provides their customers with robust business intelligence solutions, specializing in real-time information delivery over the Web. Headquartered in New York, we help companies and federal government organizations improve their “Mission-Critical†operations by transforming data into usable information for the client’s employees, managers, partners, and customers through the Internet. With award-winning solution, we deliver information to more than 11,000 global customer sites, including most of the Fortune 100 and all U.S. federal government agencies. The company employs 2,000 professionals worldwide with an annual turn over of over $300 million last year. We are also a market leader in middleware that accelerates business integration. With facilities to integrate systems in real time, near real time, or on a scheduled basis, we provide a complete reusable infrastructure for EAI, B2B, e-commerce, and mobile business. Our experience with complex information systems led to the development of prepackaged Intelligent Adapters to connect to more than 140 packaged applications, transaction systems, legacy data, relational databases, and e-business formats, without writing custom code. Software integration solutions significantly reduce the time, cost, effort, and risk of integration projects throughout the enterprise i. ETL Tool (Client) October’00 till now Team Leader ETL Tool enables fast, flexible, end-to-end extraction, transformation and load process creation involving heterogeneous data structures across disparate computing platforms. Designed to simplify the process of extracting data from maximum number of operational systems, ETL Tool helps efficiently build, maintain and expand data warehouses, data marts, micro marts, and operational data stores. ETL Tool’s integration engine provides “data structure transparency†to guarantee that all sources accessed by servers on the network – hierarchical database, relational databases and other file formats alike – appear to ETL Tool as a set of relational tables. ETL Tool's extraction process is activated by using a “Point-and-Click†interface to generate a complete SQL extraction request. ETL Tool provides full audit ability of the ETL process with a complete record of results, including a log of significant events that occurred during its run. Role & Responsibility: · As the team leader, I am involved in setting up a project schedule, assigning resources to work on different pieces depending upon their skill sets. Critically shortlist features that greatly impact the bottom line (Feature benefit analysis) to further develop and deploy. · Involved in the design and development of COM components that make up the different components of generating an ETL request. · Involved in the helping QA put together test plans to test the system. · Due to shortage of resources, I also double up as a programmer to code critical components. · Have fixed critical problems found in Microsoft ATL code that leaked resources Achievements: The product was totally revamped to give users a feel of a process flow system. The old monolithic application was totally redesigned as COM components that interacted with one another. All this was done in a record timeline of 8 months with very limited resources. We are currently working to deliver the next version within 2 months of release of the new product. Environment: Visual C++ 6.0, ATL Ver 3.0, STL, Visual Source Safe Ver 6.0, Rational Purify Ver 2002, Install Shield ii. MetaDirectory Server August’99 to October’00 Analyst & Programmer MetaDirectory stores, organizes, displays and manages metadata in an open, standards based repository. It extracts metadata from other tools and accepts it from many 3rd party products. MetaDirectory can browse, edit and organize metadata from about 35 platforms and 85 databases. Role/Contribution: · Versioning of Meta Directory. · Developed, maintain fusion administrator and catalogue administrator. · As an additional responsibility worked in another project to design and develop Data Warehouse Management system. · Involved in the design and development of a COM server that aided Metadirectory in talking to Microsoft Repository to store and access data. · Involved in unit testing and helping QA to build an extensive test plan for the system. Achievements: · Simultaneously assigned to multiple projects because of the technical edge and farsighted solutions to problems. · Recognized as the only developer to understand and manage Microsoft Repository. Environment: Visual C++ 6.0, ATL Ver 3.0, STL, Visual Source Safe Ver 6.0, Rational Purify Ver 2001A, Install Shield 2. EPICON INC. MA, USA i. ALTiS Project Sept’98 to July ‘99 Sr. Programmer Analyst, ALTiS simplifies the deployment, use and management of Windows® applications across any network including LAN/WANs, Intranets and the Internet. ALTiS stays in the environment, actively managing communications between the PC and the server, dynamically re-deploying application components that have been accidentally deleted or corrupted and distributing patches including new upgrades automatically. Role/Contribution: · Was involved in the design & development of COM components that communicated to an Access database using ATL OLEDB templates. · I designed the COM business components that retrieved necessary data for the ALTiS client as well as the ALTiS administrator. · Was also a critical member to design the database for the project · Involved in the design, development and testing of a standalone application to monitor the events logged by the administrator – ALTiS Event Manager using Visual C++ 6.0, and Crystal Reports Ver 6.0. Achievements: · I was solely responsible for the COM component that talked to the database through OLEDB. Environment: Pentium PCs, Visual C++ 6.0 (MFC 4.0), ATL Ver 3.0, OLEDB Ver 2.0, Microsoft Access 97, Visual Source Safe Ver 6.0, Bounds Checker Ver 6.0
