Musical Password based Bio-metric Authentication.
(ICCCA-2016), IEEE Conference Record # 38137
The sung musical sequence is first segmented at note level; the musical notes are then classified into the 12 chromatic musical notes. The notes with their duration are then used by the system at enrollment phase to generate the template to be stored as the password. At the authentication phase the musical sequence is again segmented and classified and the password is reconstructed which is being matched with the previously stored template.
Variant of Differential Evolution
Springer Book Series: Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing. ISSN: 2194-5357
Differential evolution is a nature-inspired optimization technique. It has achieved best solutions on large area of test suits. DE algorithm is efficient in programming and it has broad applicability in engineering. This paper presents modified mutation vector generation strategy of basic DE for solving stagnation problem. A new variant of differential evolution that is DE_New has been proposed and the performance of DE_New is tested on Comparing Continuous Optimisers (COCO) framework.
A Variant of EAM with Real Parameter Encoding and its Application in Economic Load Dispatch Problem.
Applied Intelligence, Journal ISSN: 0924-669X
The proposed algorithm works with the real value parameter encoding, and, in order to maintain significant convergence rate and diversity, it maintains a balance between exploitation and exploration. The choice to explore or exploit a solution depends on the fitness of the individual. The proposed algorithm outperforms all other algorithms in 3-D and 5-D, and its performance is comparable to other algorithms for other dimensions.
Green cloud techniques are proposed and tried by means of a wide scope of suppositions. Looking over these methodologies can distinguish the wellness of them in accomplishing the normal targets alongside the vitality utilization. We recognized the way vitality utilization is watched and what vitality sparing strategies are connected. In view of that we exhibit a scientific categorization and investigation of their quality and shortcoming of the current strategies.
An Efficient Scheduling Algorithm for Workflows in Cloud.
Applied Intelligence, Journal ISSN: 0924-669X
The workflow scheduling in a distributed environment is an NP-hard problem. We have proposed a novel scheduling policy based on optimization for workflows which adapts to the dynamic nature of cloud. The proposed algorithm is tested on well known scientific workflows of varying sizes to prove it's effectiveness with respect to other well known workflow scheduling algorithms.
